The operating software allows aesy monitoring and control of the whole RGS system and consist of two separate programs:
The program is used to set the parameters of the system and to create the visualization graphic plans. By dragging symbols to the background plan with the mouse it is easy to locate graphic symbols of system components (check points, patrol routes, etc.). The background plan may consist of a building ground plan, an air photograph or photograph of a building. The program supports the import of maps and objects in the BMP and WMF (easy import directly from CAD programs) formats.
When a visualization graphic plan has been configured in the Planner program, the whole system is monitored and controlled through the RgsView program. It is possible to easily and intuitively add and remove guards on patrol, monitor their position on the patrol route and monitor any alarm report. The programme graphically displays the position of the guards and their condition (e.g. safe, stationary, abnormal position). The resulting security incident is signaled in a warning window with an acoustic signal and also with the relevant graphical symbol on the base layout.
Operational problems such as the loss of a radio signal or operational frequency interference are signaled in a similar manner. All security incidents are displayed in a special window for the monitoring operator. In the visualization plan it is possible to display several background plans, but only one at any time. Depending on the location of the guard the system will only display the relevant photograph or drawing. Background plans and objects can be smoothly zoomed IN and OUT and displayed according to the operators current needs. All events on the system, together with the time of their occurrence are recorded in the event log, which allows the operator to find the desired event with the use of filters, to export data to a file, to print data, etc.
